All sweeteners are not created equal

I've almost...become successful at replacing sugar in my diet.  Aside from the health risks associated with the 'white stuff' (another post, coming soon) I've decided that I just don't need it.  White Table sugar goes against  my health habits.  It's processed with minimal, if any, nutritional value.  Some say it's addictive, and quite frankly, that's not what I need.  It may provide some energy, but I think that can be better accomplished with a few more natural alternatives.

My latest obsession: kale pesto

I just added a new recipe to my running list of favorites. Not only does this pack a healthy punch with kale, oregano, basil and garlic, but works great with whatever oil you prefer - sesame oil gives this an Asian twist, and nothing beats a nice organic olive oil. I'm using this for hot pasta dishes now, but can see it quickly becoming a favorite for dressing summer salads and slaws.
